Thank you to the 103 volunteers who have continued to work with us during August and September at the height of this pandemic. The work you have provided has significantly assisted so many of our clients to stay in their homes safely. For the clients, they are pleased to have some contact even if it is waving through the door. Thank you. 👋🏼
I wish to send a special thank you to all our volunteer walkers for delivering the “we need you” volunteer campaign flyers. I am hoping that this invigorates the spirit of volunteering and more volunteers join our teams. 🏃🏻♀️📄🚶🏾📫🧍🏽♂️🚴🏽♂️📮✉️

Hip Hip Hooray 👏🏼
On 15 September, it was a very proud and inspiring moment, when I attended the online 2021 NSW Volunteer of the Year Awards: Upper North Shore Ceremony with our Easy Care Gardening Coordinators. We were watching and celebrating our volunteer nominations, masked and socially distance from our Pymble office.
I wish to congratulate all of our Easy Care Gardening volunteer nominees:

The Serious Side of Covid-19 🦠
Easy Care Gardening is a My Aged Care Provider and we are an essential service. From 5 October 2021, Easy Care Gardening is required to report the COVID-19 vaccination rates of all our employees and volunteers who attend clients’ gardens to the Commonwealth government on a weekly basis.
It is now a condition for all My Aged Care providers to be vaccinated. This means that we are needing proof of your COVID-19 vaccination record sent to Easy Care Gardening. If you have a medical exemption from being vaccinated Easy Care Gardening will still require proof.
Since 30 June 2021 lockdown, if you have decided to stand down or have been stood down due to living in an LGA of concern, we are pleased to announce that if you are vaccinated and would like to return to gardening, we would be interested to hear from you. Thank you to everyone who has provided their documentation to date. This has helped us tremendously.

Good News- new maximum numbers in gardens
From Monday 27 September, the maximum of 5 people per garden has been lifted. There is no new upper limit.
As long as we are still socially distancing and wearing masks where ever safe and possible, we can have as many vaccinated people attending a garden.
This means we can welcome full teams back into the garden.
It is advised that if you are living in an LGA of concern, or if your LGA becomes locked down in the future, please contact Coralie Jensen before you return to ensure you have all the up to date NSW Government requirements in place. Please contact your Coordinator or Email:firstname.lastname@example.org if you wish to come back, or if you have any questions.
Those wishing to return should ensure they request a copy of their ECG letter from email@example.com stating they are an authorised worker (if they do not already have a copy)

I am hoping that October brings us new freedoms. I am looking forward to the day I can meet with you in person. Until then, wishing you, your family and friends the best of health and I hope you can re-unite with your friends and family in person soon.
