Second Week of Pentecost SUNDAY OF THE HOLY TRINITY
Rom 11:25-36 Mt 28:16-20
The mystery of the Holy Trinity.is a revealed truth;
The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit is One God.
The Priest's Corner
Dear Parishioners and Friends,
It is beautiful to be back with you in the Bay Area for this weekend and for the Feast of the Most Holy Trinity. Last weekend, we experienced the powerful gift of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost and now the mystery of salvation is complete with the acknowledgement and power of the Trinity - what seems to be so difficult to understand with logic is so simply explained with faith. The Father who loves us unconditionally, sends us His Son who sacrificed himself unconditionally for us, who in turn will never stop loving even in the midst of rejection, punishment and pain sends us the Holy Spirit who will teach us how to respond unconditionally to Love. What is so powerful about this Feast is that each one is uniquely powerful and uniquely different in their expression of Love but yet unconditionally the same in their giving. What do we want to do different this year with regard to our faith? What do we want to share that is more real this year with our love. I pray it will be a move from the ordinary human questions of When, Where, What, Who & Why to the Divine reflection of How?
I am looking forward to the National MYO retreat in July and then I head to SA for mission work with my Redemptorist community. Please continue to keep me in your prayers. Thank you for welcoming me into your midst and I pray that the children and youth will continue to believe beyond the ordinary to that which brings life and love.
Fr. Gary C.Ss.R
