The Community Data Program’s transition to CCEDNet

The Community Data Program transitioned to a new home with the Canadian Community Economic Development Network (CCEDNet) in September 2019. Since its beginnings with the Canadian Council on Social Development (CCSD) in the 1990s, the CDP has focused on providing access to data to improve well-being in communities across Canada. We thank the CCSD for its years of support and for transforming the CDP into a strong network of data practitioners. The transition to our new host is allowing the CDP to continue its mandate and explore new opportunities for enabling evidence-based decision making. We look forward to getting to know CCEDNet better in the coming months and years.

Custom tabulations - CUSP poverty tables
As part of a collaboration with the Community Data Program Analytics Team, the Canadian Urban Sustainability Practitioners network has provided the program with a rich set of data tables on energy poverty in Canada. The tables look at home energy spending as a proportion of after-tax household income and cross-tabulate demographic household concepts with housing and income data.
Take a look at Schedule B, updated for data to be purchased this program year (2019-2020).
