Flags fly at half-mast at all Central York Fire Services’ Fire Stations in the Towns of Newmarket and Aurora
to honour the passing of retired
Town of Richmond Hill Platoon Chief, Bill Wilson

NEWMARKET, Ontario, September 6, 2019 - Flags are flying at half-mast at all Central York Fire Services’ Fire Stations in the Town of Newmarket and the Town of Aurora to honour the passing of retired Town of Richmond Hill Platoon Chief, William 'Bill' Stuart Wilson.
 
Mr. Wilson was born in Newmarket, Ontario and grew up in the Town of Aurora. He was a volunteer firefighter for the Town of Aurora in 1977 and became a full-time firefighter for the Town of Richmond Hill in 1979. He then worked his way to become Captain and later Platoon Chief.
 
Central York Fire Services offers sincere condolences and sympathies to his family, friends and the firefighting community.
