Valle Country Fair (Saturday)

The Valle Country Fair is celebrating its 40th anniversary! Join us Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the Valle Country Fair in the most picturesque valley of the High Country during the Peak of Leaf Season.


 

 Wooly Worm Festival 2018 (Saturday and Sunday)
The 41st Annual Woolly Worm Festival takes place the 3rd weekend of October 20 & 21, 2018 in the quaint mountain town of Banner Elk North Carolina. 







New River Corn Maze (Weekends) 
Select your perfect pumpkins to decorate for fall or bake the perfect pumpkin pie! Play a game of corn hole or simply soak in the changing season and colors!! We can't wait to see you!





The Haunted Horn: An outdoor escape challenge (Friday and Saturday)
Haunted Horn: The Accused, a unique outdoor escape challenge, will take you back to a time when a simple lie could have you burned at the stake! A small mountain settlement has been rocked by accusations of witchery and sorcery. Are all of the women truly witches or innocent bystanders of a more sinister plot?




 

Hunger and Health Coalition's 4th Annual Masquerade Ball (Friday) 
The Hunger and Health Coalition is bringing back our Masquerade Ball for year four! The costumes, dancing, drinks, and performances from Appalachian Musical Theatre Ensemble will all be back, too, plus visits with fortune tellers and tarot card readers and even more surprises and twists!


 
Our second annual High Country Walk/Run for Breast Cancer is the flagship event for the High Country Breast Cancer Foundation.  100% of the funds donated to the High Country Breast Cancer Foundation are used to provide for the needs of breast cancer patients, survivors and their families in the North Carolina High Country.
 

What's Happening Oct 28 - Nov 4



CCC&TI Trunk or Treat (Tuesday)

ITrunk or Treat starts at 6 p.m. and runs till the Candy is gone! The event includes: Story Time Tent, Mini Basketball shoot for candy, Face Painting and crafts for children, Inflatable Obstacle Course, Balloon Animals. There will be food trucks set up.
 


Fall Family Festival at Mount Vernon  (Tuesday)
Temps are dropping and leaves are changing which means it’s time for our annual Fall Family Festival at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church!!! 


 

Children (and adults) come dressed in costumes for a fun trick-or-treat experience from the trunks of vehicles. The festivities include a costume contest for kids, and a separate contest for four-legged friends. Be sure to check out the haunted house and hay rides.
 

Boone Boo (Wednesday)
The town of Boone invites you to Boone Boo! Explore downtown Boone with lots of fun activities and trick or treating along the way!
