The condition index is primordial to assess mussel spawning. A yearly report is produced from the data collected from both program and is then made available to the industry via the ISPP website and the BIM website. Therefore, it is planned to expand the larvae monitoring stations around the coast and look at other bivalve species. In addition, the brood stock condition index survey is planned to be expanded to other locations where mussels are farmed. Services required: To continue delivering information to the industry about larvae population, BIM is now seeking the following services: 1) Plankton sampling 2) Brood stock condition index monitoring Two panels will be put in place for the aforementioned services, and tenders are invited to complete this questionnaire to get placed on either, or both of the panels.
