Congratulations to Professor Margaret Topping, Dean of Graduate School, Queen's University Belfast who has just been made a Companion of the Chartered Management Institute.

She was presented with her Companionship Certificate by Ian Myson, Director HE Partnerships Chartered Management Institute during his visit to Belfast recently. Professor Topping was a keynote speaker at last October's "Will Brexit steal my Cheese" organised by the Institute. She is Professor of French and Dean of the Graduate School at Queen’s University Belfast.

In both this role, and in her role as Dean of the Graduate School, she is actively engaged in local and national debates around the challenges of Brexit, not only for staff and student mobility, and for scientific collaboration, but also for maintaining an intellectual and cultural climate of diversity and inclusiveness that is a prerequisite for developing students to be the kinds of thinkers, leaders, communicators and innovators who will shape our future in an increasingly transnational world.
