The annual PKF-FPM free post-Budget breakfast will take place in the Quays at Newry on Wednesday November 7 (breakfast from 7.30am, with the formalities commencing at 8.10am).

RTE News Europe editor and leading Brexit commentator Tony Connelly will address business leaders in Belfast on November 21 as debate around the UK's exit from the EU intensifies.

He will speak to an audience at a lunch time event hosted by the Institute of Directors Northern Ireland (loD Nl) at the Merchant Hotel in the wake of the EU Summit. The event, entitled 'Connect and Influence: Focus on Brexit', is sponsored by BDO Nl and Carson McDowell. Tony Connelly has been covering EU and European affairs from Brussels since 2001.

He has reported extensively on the period before and after the Brexit referendum, and before that covered the European refugee crisis, the Greek debt situation, the Irish bail-out and he financial crisis dating back in 2008.
He will be joined in a panel discussion at the event by Allie Renison, Head of Europe and Trade Policy at the loD

The Nerve Centre now offers a course that will train and allow businesses to use their 3D printer and digital fabrication resources.
The Nerve Centre has been having some recent success with local businesses in designing unique packaging and also in developing prototypes and bespoke marketing materials for their business.
This is a free course and will involve the business to spend a duration of 14 hours in the lab and we will be flexible in terms of how the time is used in order to suit business needs and availability.
We will need a cohort of around 10-12 businesses to proceed with this.

The mentor contributes independent, informed observation and advice to aid decision making. LEO proposes to award contracts for 12 months with the option to extend for three (3) periods of 12 months subject to funding being available. The Contract will not exceed 48 months. In 2017, €167,000 was spent delivering mentoring to 987 participants.
