You may have seen our new initiative Joondalup Mini Athletics, which is for children aged 3 - 5 encompassing skill based games that are focused on participation and fun. The fundamental skills of running, jumping and throwing are approached through “appropriate” activities for this age group. Emphasis is not on competition and there will be no results from this.
This will operate alongside our usual programs from 9am - 10am on Saturday 19th Oct for 7 Saturday programs through to 7th Dec. The cost will be $50. Please email email@example.com to register

Water running for the U12+ will be on at the HBF Arena pool tomorrow, Saturday 5th October 10.30am - 11.00am
First competition day - 12 October 2019
Our first competition day will be on Saturday the 12th of October. At this stage we are still hoping it will be back at the HBF Arena Western Oval, but this has not be confirmed. This will be posted to our website, facebook and in next week's newsletter.
Marshalling for the U8 and older athletes is 7.45am, for the U6 & U7, it is 8.15am.
As you may be aware we have a requirement of volunteer roles every competition day which you will be required to fulfill. No special skills or knowledge are necessary, but parent /carer involvement is a compulsory element of Little Athletics at Joondalup. Please make sure you nominate for a position. Description of rosters are on the website - link. There will also be plenty of opportunities throughout the season to put yourself forward for these positions.
The first 4 competition rosters are available on our website for you to nominate. (At this stage please do not nominate for any more than the next 4 competitions)

Fundraising For the first competition we will be running a bake sale to raise funds for the purchase of equipment. Please prepare some delicious goodies to bring along so that we can sell on our stall.
Uniforms, numbers, registrations Returning members (even from previous seasons) please re-use your existing bib. New members can get their numbers and registration bibs at the first competition, as well as purchase uniforms. Uniform badge placements and requirements are outlined on our website.
Please do not be concerned if you haven't received your new age tag, registration bib and timing button before or on the first competition day. There will be an opportunity to get this (hopefully from the clubrooms). Your athlete can participate without it. The first competition day will be very busy and we won't start selling uniforms until after everything has started.
