Trunk or Treat:
Come join your neighbors and friends for a fun filled safe environment on Thursday, October 31, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at VBF's East campus! Children, come dressed in your favorite costume and get all the candy you can eat!

Candy Donation & Volunteers Needed: 
We need volunteers to sign up to bring your decorated vehicles to help make this night fun for the children and pass out candy! We will have prizes for best decorated vehicles.  The sign-up sheet will be at the HUB.
We also need candy donations to make this night fun for all the families and neighborhood children. You can drop off candy donations in the church foyer on Sunday mornings or Wednesday nights.
Man Cave:
Men, come join us on Saturday, October 5, at 9:00 am, in Station 3:16, for a hearty breakfast, empowering message, and a great time of fellowship! CSUB Man Cave will meet at 9:00 am in the CSUB Student Union Building. Northwest Man Cave will meet at 9:00 am, at the Northwest campus, and Tehachapi Man Cave will meet at 9:00 am, at the Steampunk Cafe and Grill (20324 W. Valley Blvd.). We will have water Baptisms at Man Cave this month. VBF recommends attendees be age 14 and older for this ministry. For more information, please call the church office at (661) 325-2251.
Empower Women's Retreat:
 Our amazing VBF Women's Retreat at Sugar Pine Christian Camp is coming up Friday, November 1 through Sunday, November 3! Cost ranges from $140- $190! Our speaker is Melissa Maimone and she is awesome! You won’t want to miss out! An $80 non-refundable deposit holds your spot!  Come find us in the foyer or register below.

MOPS:
MOPS, Mothers of Preschoolers, ages 0-5 years, is taking registration for 2019-2020. MOPS meets the second Tuesday of each month in the Xtreme building, from 9:00 am to 11:30 am. The meeting date is Tuesday, October 8. For more details, email MOPS@vbf.org.

 
Adventures of the
Simple Life Ranch
We are so pleased to offer all of Pastor Ron's children's books in a series that the whole family can enjoy! Series includes Oreo Finds a Friend, Bella Goes to School, Charlie Finds a Home, and a USB flash drive full of activities. 

Series is $30 and individual books can be purchased for $10 each. They are available for purchase following any service or at VBF.org.

Worship Night:
Come join us for a night of worship on the front lawn of the East campus on Saturday,October 5, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  There will be food and fun for the entire family! 

Women's Ministry: Card Making Creations Event:
Ladies, let's prep for the upcoming holidays as we learn how to make homemade cards from professionals on Friday, October 11, at 6:00 pm, at the Northwest campus. You will be creating and taking home three homemade cards. Cost is $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Tickets can be purchased by clicking HERE. For questions, please email nicoled@vbf.org. 

Women’s Evening Bible Study:
Join the VBF ladies for this once a month gathering as we study Jonah by Priscilla Shirer. This study meets the second Tuesday of the month, at 6:30 pm, in the main sanctuary at VBF's Northwest campus. This month's meeting date is October 8. Men’s Life Group:
Men, do you want to grow deeper in God’s word? Come be a part of our Monday night Life Group. We meet every Monday, at 6:00 pm, in the East campus foyer of the sanctuary.  For more information, please contact Al Martinez at the church office at (661) 325-2251.

Embrace Grace:
Partnered with the Bakersfield Pregnancy Center, this one-semester Embrace Grace Bible study group is for women experiencing an unplanned pregnancy to find a place of belonging. If you would like additional information, please see VBFwomen.com or email volcoord@wehelpyou.org.  This group meets on Tuesday evenings, at 6:30 pm, in the main sanctuary at VBF's Northwest campus.

Betrayal & Beyond:
 Betrayal & Beyond is a women's small group that reveals the truth and nature of sexual addiction, and how women are wounded by the addict’s behaviors. This group will meet every Tuesday for a 9 month study, at 6:00 pm, in Building C (2nd- 5th grade room) of the Northwest campus. High School Girls' Bible Study:
High School girls' Bible study group meets Thursday, October 3 and Thursday, October 17, at the Northwest campus, at 6:30 pm. For more information, please contact Kylee at the church (661) 325-2251 ext 111.

High School Halloween Party:
The high school ministry will be having a Halloween party on Thursday, October 31! We will have games, food, and a costume contest! Please make sure that your costume is modest.  This event will be from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. For the location and any other information, please call the church office at (661) 325-2251.

CSUB High School Halloween Party:
The CSUB high school ministry will be having a Halloween party on Thursday, October 31! We will have games, food, and a costume contest! Middle School Magic Mountain Trip:
The middle school ministry will be going to Six Flags Magic Mountain on Saturday, October 26 from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. Tickets will cost $50, and you must sign up by Wednesday, October 23.  We will be meeting at VBF, then carpooling to Six Flags. Middle School Basketball Ministry:
The middle school ministry will meet every other Monday, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, in the Xtreme building, for a Bible study followed by a basketball game. October dates are the 7th and 21st. For more information, please contact Justin Greer at the church office at (661) 325-2251.

Girls' Middle School Bible Study:
The middle school girls' Bible study group will meet on Saturday, October 5, at 9:00 am.  For more information, please contact the church office at (661) 325-2251.

CSUB Middle School Get Together:
The CSUB middle school ministry will be getting together on Thursday, October 17, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm for some worship, games, and fellowship. Call the church office for more details (661) 325-2251. 

Xtreme Girls' Bible Study:
Bring your 2nd-5th grade girls out for our monthly girls' Bible study on Saturday, October 5, at 9:00 am, in the Jungle (room 15,16,17). The girls will have a time of worship, crafts, games, and study led by our wonderful Xtreme leaders.

Xtreme Boys' Bible Study:
Bring your 2nd-5th grade boys out for our monthly boys' Bible study on Saturday, October 5, at 9:00 am, in the Xtreme. The boys will have a time of worship, games, and study led by our wonderful Xtreme leaders.

Xtreme Pumpkin Decorating Party:
The Xtreme is having a pumpkin decorating party for 2nd-5th grade.  It will take place on Saturday, October 26, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, in the Xtreme. The cost is $5 per child and will include a pumpkin and decorating supplies.  We will serve drinks and snacks.

Divorce Care:
Divorce Care is for women who have gone through a divorce and are seeking community and Godly support with other women, while going through a curriculum to provide progress towards healing. The group will meet every Tuesday evening, at 7:00 pm, at our Northwest campus. For questions, please contact Tina at tinashores777@pointloma.edu or 805-539-9865.
 
 Financial Peace University:
 If God is speaking to you about your finances, VBF is here to help! Financial Peace offers all believers HOPE and a plan.  Fall classes have started and they are every Thursday, in room 36, at the East campus, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Class materials can be ordered online or purchased from the church.  Cost is $109 per family.
 
Celebrate Recovery:
Celebrate Recovery is a recovery program aimed at all “hurts, habits, and hang ups” including but not exclusive to: high anxiety, co-dependency, compulsive behaviors, sex addiction, financial dysfunction, drug and alcohol addictions, and eating disorders. This class meets every Friday, at the Northwest campus, at 6:30 pm, and at the East campus at 7:00 pm.

Men’s 12 Step Bible Study:
Celebrate Recovery (Men’s 12 Step Bible Study) will be held every Thursday, at 6:30 pm, at the Northwest campus. For more information regarding this group, please contact the Northwest office at (661) 615-3528.

Every Man’s Battle:
This ministry is for men that struggle with temptation and want to learn Godly principles and practical tools to overcome temptations and get victory!  We will meet every Thursday, at 6:00 pm, at our Northwest campus, in Building C (2nd-5th grade room).

Change Our City:
Change our City will be hosting a Volunteer Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, October 12, at 12:00 pm, at the Northwest campus. For more information please contact the church office at (661) 325-2251.

50 Plus Ministry:
If you are 50 plus years and older and want to join a community that provides fun and encouragement, join us every second Monday, at the Northwest campus, at 6228 Coffee Road, at 6:30 pm.  This month's meeting date is Monday, October 14. For questions, please call Brenda at (661) 330-3693.

Crochet Ministry:
 Learn how to crochet and create pieces with a big purpose! This ministry will be held on  Monday, October 14 and Monday, October 28, at 6:30 pm, in room 12, at the East campus. Beginners to advanced levels are welcome. Bring any project you are working on or a ball of cotton yarn and size "H" hook.

Young Adults Group:
College group meets every Tuesday night, at 6:30 pm, in the high school room at the Northwest campus. Please call the church office for more details (661) 325-2251.

Adopt-A-Block:
The goal of Adopt-A-Block is to build relationships with the people of Bakersfield, and the key to success is consistency. No gimmicks; just genuine relationships. We want to make a difference in the lives of people living in our city. We want to show them the love of Christ. We do this by visiting door-to-door and spending time with the families, playing games with the kids, handing out clothes, picking up trash, praying for families, and inviting families to church. Join us in the Xtreme on Saturday, October 12, and Saturday, October 26, at 9:45 am.

          VBF Squad Runners:

Hospital Ministry:
If you know of someone who is hospitalized and would appreciate prayer and a visit from the VBF Hospital Ministry Team, please call the church office at (661) 325-2251. The teams visit on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
