Are YOU up-to-date with the application of the Queensland Human Rights Act in the child protection context?

Caron Menashe from the Queensland Human Rights Commission will facilitate a free videoconference session on Wednesday, 6th May from 10am to 12pm via Zoom, exploring the scope of the 23 human rights protected by the new Queensland Human Rights Act 2019.

This free videoconference session will offer interactive opportunities to work through specific child protection scenarios to learn how to assess the compatibility of public entities’ acts or decisions with human rights.

Only a few spots remain! Do not miss out!

Attendees are welcome to forward any queries or real life situations encountered in work environments which impact on human rights to include in the discussion to Stephanie Fielder on 0415 161 865 or sfielder@peakcare.org.au. See this guide to developing scenarios provided by the Commission, which has some relevant examples.

For those who want to gain some pre-course knowledge, visit the Queensland Human Rights Commission’s Online Training Store and select the Introduction to the Human Rights Act 2019 course.
