Protection of Private              Information Act: Update

We all need to be aware of POPI (or POPIA, as the regulator now refers to it) requirements. At the first public briefing on 13 February:
No commencement date has been set. The Chairperson stated that POPI could only come into full operation once her office had all its affairs in order, which may take up to 2 years, but they are working towards achieving this by the end of 2017. Please ensure that you are POPU-ready, the 12 month grace period will be tight when the commencement date is announced.
Regulations are being drafted and international benchmarking is underway. The EU's new General Data Protection Regulation, in particular, will be considered to ensure consistency with international best practices.
Conference 25 - 27 August
Introducing our Speakers

Pathologist Dr Piet Swanepoel believes that, as the cell is the basis of life, we should find the answers to all our questions under a microscope. So how does a pathologist approach cancer?

Neuro-psychologists generally assess the cognitive and emotional functioning of children and adults as it relates to physical brain conditions. Dr Sharon Truter is talking about Visual Hallucinations.
This was our top Facebook post during this month of loving. We'll be back at the end of March.
