Camp Djabal
Mobile Library Destroyed

STF recently learned the Camp Djabal Mobile Library was destroyed in a house fire on December 9. The human rights mobile library was stored in Rahma's hut in his family compound when not in use during the day. We don't know details yet about how many structures were burned, or what caused the fire (stove fire, arson, accident -- we may never learn how it started). Whatever the cause, Rahma and the students are devastated the mobile library is destroyed. Watch video of the wreckage.

The Wildwood STF chapter is relaunching their Change for Change program to raise $2,000 to rebuild the library and restore some of Rahma's personal items destroyed by the fire. Gabriel Stauring will speak to the Wildwood School on January 29, 2013 about the fire and the status of the Mobile Libraries in the refugee camps.
