Achim Steiner begins tenure as Director of the Oxford Martin School

Achim Steiner, former UN Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), became Director of the Oxford Martin School on 1 September. Speaking as he took up his new role, Mr Steiner said he shared James Martin's belief that "the wealth of academic expertise here in Oxford presents a unique opportunity to help with the needs and priorities that we face as societies, and as a global community". More 

Lecture Series: Inequality

Starting on 13 October, hear from leading thinkers and researchers on the topic of inequality, the issue that lies at the heart of many of our world's intractable challenges. Speakers including Branko Milanovic, Brian Nolan and Robyn Norton will explore the topic from a broad range of perspectives, and the series will conclude with a panel discussion.
