This is the first year of the RotaryGBI  Rotary Ride and the events below are taking place in your District.  it is now an annual event.  Hopefully details will be released by RotaryGBI earlier next time so that your club can plan ahead and participate fully in this event.

Cycle Challenge for the Whole Family plus "It's a Knock Out" Competition
Rotary Club of Keynsham at Odd Down Sports Ground Cycle Track, Bath BA2 2PR commences at 13:00.


Millennium Square | Sky Ride Bristol/Rotary Pedal for Prostate

Sunday 21st June at 11:00
Join thousands of other cyclists taking to the Bristol streets for a fantastic traffic-free bike ride along a special 7k route on Harbourside. With loads of things to do and try out on the day, including the “Tricks & Tunes” area and a friendly Bike Cafe, there’ll be a real festival atmosphere.  Register in advance and you’ll be entitled to a free expert bike check (worth £14.99) at Halfords.  Or register on the day when you’ll be able to collect a free Sky Ride reflective bib.
Although this is a free event, Bristol Rotarians and their friends and families taking part are invited to “Pedal for Prostate” to raise funds for the Southmead Hospital Charity’s Prostate Cancer Care Appeal.

Marathon for Prostate Cancer
Hereford and Wye Rotary Club  - 26 members in the club will each either ride a mile on an exercise bike or pay someone else to do it - at a charge of £10 per head unless they obtain sponsorship in excess of that amount) - starting at 3.00pm and followed by a barbecue.
Let’s hope the weather stays dry and all have fun and fellowship.
Well done Rotarians past and present for all the Service that you have fulfilled to your local and International communities. Let’s look forward to the next 50 years – enjoy your celebrations.
Nepal Earthquake Appeal
Clubs in the District have collected  £86,000 as at 14 June. Clubs have allocated the money collected to various charities and funds that have been set up to help the people in Nepal.
This includes 60 Shelter Boxes, which will provide families with shelter and other vital equipment needed for survival after the disaster and to start rebuilding lives. 
The District fund stands at £11,961. £4,447 has been earmarked to support the bid we have submitted to RIBI Trustees for funding from the RIBI Appeal, which was outlined in the eNews 28 May. The fund is still open and if any clubs would like to contribute then please do so.  
Conference Survey
