Trees Project - Completed & A HUGE SUCCESS!

MANY Homeowners in the neighborhood participated in the Tree-Lined Street Initiative this past weekend! We bought extra trees and still ran out. 

We should all be proud of our neighborhood for this project - All together, our neighborhood planted 140 trees in 2 days. Just imagine what the neighborhood may look like in a few years!

The Tree Crew did the job right... digging all the holes, hauling off the dug out dirt (mud), and replacing it with fertilized soil. Later, the crew propped the trees with stakes.

Important Notes about Tree Care:

Be SURE to properly water your new trees. While the Tree Crew planted the trees with fertilized soil, it's critically important to WATER YOUR TREES. 



It's recommended that you soak the mulch around your tree a couple times per day, at least for the first 2 weeks. After that, just make sure it's getting water occasionally. These trees are all very hardy and able to withstand quite a bit. But it's important to keep them properly watered. Some Homeowners have purchased fertilizer spikes and put a couple in the ground by each of their trees. That's a GREAT idea!
