PERFORMANCE - LIVE Archive

Dublin Contemporary Dance Theatre

28 January / Dance Limerick
18 February / Firkin Crane

DTI Artistic Directors Robert Connor & Loretta Yurick
join former Dublin Contemporary Dance Theatre colleagues Joan Davis and Mary Nunan in bringing to life selected repertoire from this 1980's pioneering contemporary dance company in the LIVE Archive project, conceived and produced by archive researcher and presenter, Emma Meehan. DCDT was Ireland's premiere contemporary dance company from 1979 to 1989.
There is an Exhibition accompanying the performances. LIVE Archive will be at Dance Limerick, Jan 28th and the  Firkin Crane, Cork, Feb 18th.

Robert & Loretta have reconstructed (and are performing in) a signature duet, Coupled Reflections, with dancers Eimear Byrne and Anderson de Souza, as well as a powerful solo from Lunar Parables to W. B. Yates' still relevant poem, The Second Coming. Joan Davis is reconstructing her in-spiraled solo, Continuum, and Mary Nunan is revisiting Search, connecting with Samuel Beckett's Company.

Don't miss it!
