Dear Praying Friends,

Dear Praying Friends,

From our FamilyLife president David Robbins:

"For all of us, life right now looks very different from what it should look like. COVID-19 has turned our world upside down. As a result, people are turning to FamilyLife like never before.

Thankfully, when the coronavirus hit, because of generous support from friends of the ministry, we were able to quickly expand our digital content… providing urgent marriage and family support, meeting people right where they are!

Now, it’s clear God is launching a critical new chapter at FamilyLife — one that calls for even greater expansion of online resources and other tools to meet the many cries for help.

Job layoffs… impromptu homeschooling… church closures… stay-at-home orders. Families everywhere are struggling under these new pressures.  And, as a result, marriages are being hit hard.

Divorce inquiries have spiked nationwide under the pressure of the pandemic.”

We have never been so thankful that we have been working remotely with FamilyLife. It has placed Roger in an ideal position to mobilize digital resources for our Latin American partners. Although many are in extremely difficult circumstances economically, they have continued to aggressively grab hold of Biblical resources during our new normal. Marriage and family conferences are "Zooming" as Costa Rica, Panama, Ecuador, Peru, Colombia, and Chile report well over 8,000 in attendance since the lockdowns began in March.

In July, a partner congregation in Colombia reported 170 couples meeting in 27 virtual groups for four weeks. Approximately 50 of those couples had their first encounter with the Gospel!

We are grateful that we have remained healthy throughout this entire pandemic. We are deeply thankful for your continued prayers and giving. Please don’t stop now.

God is sustaining us. We know that God is moving even though we don’t always know how or see what He is doing. We long for many to come to know Christ in this historically difficult time.

Your partners in Christ,
Roger and Laura Dye

One of the questions that offers us the best perspective every day is: "What opportunities has God given us that we would not have had without this pandemic?"
Earlier this year our dear friends and FamilyLife leaders in Panama, Jonathan and Hana Samudio, lost both of their jobs due to the COVID lockdowns and are dependent daily on the Lord for his provision. Even so, they are continuing to offer help and hope to the marriages and families around them!
