So how is it being back at work? August Bank Holiday, Labor Day, they all are now a dim and distant memory, so let's start planning for Christmas shall we?
This week Andrew takes aim at the use of "Box Office Clerk" to describe "The people of box office" or TPOBO for short and asks should we be giving them a title that accurately reflects their skills and objectives, to "sell more f***ing tickets!" as as we heard at Ticketing Professionals Conference in February.
Also under the spotlight are web sales. The first of two pieces is on whether we should be paying more attention to the "Cart" and looking to streamline and optimise the check-out experience rather than just get visitors to the site and give them a sucky experience. Andrew follows this up with a post looking how, through add-ons or better integrations web sales could deliver what web sales should do.....oh hang on ..... sell more tickets.
