The smooth rolling of summer is on! When it gets steamy hot outside, drop by our air conditioned shop for that mid-season maintenance. Lube your chain, tighten up your brakes, and learn how to get that indexed shifting working just right!

Peterborough Pulse: Join us on July 18th

 

We are just tickled to be helping bring an Open Streets event to downtown Peterborough! We can hardly wait to see people walking, biking, skating and playing in our largest shared public space: the street! Bring your friends, bring your family, come and enjoy Peterborough Pulse. We could still use a few more volunteers, sign-up for a full or half day shift online.

Earn-a-Bike Sessions

For youth and adults start soon

Youth aged 14 to 17 work in a structured 8 session program to re-build a bicycle and keep it upon completion of the program! Program runs Tuesday and Thursday from 10-1 July 23rd to August 18th.

Adults work on their own timeline to re-build a bicycle and earn it through volunteer time. Orientation July 12th at noon.

Trent Shop @ Bata
Thursdays 2 till 6

Drop-in for a little north end DIY

Having trouble making it to the downtown shop early in the week? Pedal up to Trent and get your DIY done on campus! The LEC bridge is currently demolished so we will be set up in the Bata bike parking area on Thursdays from 2 till 6.

Membership Increase

Annual Membership $35 starting July 19th

Its been 9 years since B!KE first started helping people fix bikes. As always we are dedicated to keeping bike repair accessible and affordable. We are however now registered for HST and that means a small increase in the cost of memberships. As of July 19th an annual membership to B!KE will be $35 inclusive of HST.
