“May you have a good and sweet year” is what we typically wish each other in the month leading up to the Jewish New Year, and I bet you’ve always wondered why we give a double wish, that the year should be both good and sweet. It’s got to be more that just poetic. The Talmud teaches us that everything that happens in the world is for the good.
