Athlete of the Month

The Alberta Sport Development Centre – Central (ASDC-C) is pleased to announce that the ASDC-Central Female Athlete of the Month for February 2017 is Natalie Frenette. Natalie Frenette (freh – net), is a 17 year old Red Deer resident, Grade 12 student at Notre Dame High School and a competitive soccer athlete. Natalie first began playing soccer with the U4 Timbits in the Red Deer City Soccer Association, and began playing elite level soccer with the U10 Renegades as an 8 year old. Read full media release

Winning Edge Seminar

On February 21 we welcomed Melanie Tuck from Collegiate Sports Medicine, who spoke to our athletes about "Taking Ownership of You": Keys to Optimal Performance. She discussed topics such as; Over-training, Staleness, Injury Prevention and Peak Performance. Also, reminding the athletes that they need to be their own advocate. Thank you Melanie for coming out and speaking with our AEP athletes. On March 7 we will be presenting our 2nd  Mental Skills Seminar for our bronze and silver athletes.
