The 'magic' of Parallax

If you are looking for an innovative way to showcase your latest project or campaign, or even historic photos, Hughes can assist you with a design technique called Parallax. By layering and separating an image we are able to give it a 3D appearance which also incorporates slow movements and lifelike detailing. Check out the short video above that demonstrates the technique using a series of 2D images, which have been transformed into animations. Contact Hughes graphic designer Luke Howard for more details.

Luxury pet hotel

Two Hughes clients - Adelaide Airport and Guide Dogs SA /NT signed a historic agreement to build the first luxury pet hotel in Adelaide. The hotel will include more than 240 standard and luxury rooms, exercise areas for dogs, cats and “pocket pets”, a pool, personal TVs and even internet access in the form of live-streaming webcams. The hotel is expected to create 65 new jobs and is set to open in 2017 with profits to help fund Guide Dogs SA/NT services. Hughes achieved widespread local and national media coverage for the announcement. Read more in The Advertiser here or view Channel Nine's coverage of the 'sod-turning' event here.

Planned your Christmas video yet?

Christmas provides an excellent opportunity to thank the people and organisations we do business with and to wish them the best of the season. Video is a great medium for doing this – it projects your values and messages in an entertaining manner; and it’s often cheaper and less time-consuming during a busy part of the year.

At Hughes, we choose video to share our season’s greetings (view our Christmas 2014 video above) and we’d be pleased to help you do the same. Contact Alli Evans to get the reel rolling.

SA's best development projects honoured

A new apartment building at St Clair was the big winner at the 2015 Urban Development Institute of Australia (SA) Awards for Excellence.

Hughes client Starfish Developments’ Avenue Apartments at St Clair was announced as this year’s best High Density Housing development in SA before also winning the prestigious President’s Award. Avenue Apartments received a third gong when project  architect Chasecrown took out the Professional Consulting award for its work on the 59-apartment project. Read more about the winners here.

Hughes also continues to provide communications support to the UDIA (SA) and new Executive Director Pat Gerace who you can read more about in The Advertiser here

Submissions that stand out

Writing a successful tender or award submission requires significant resources in order to identify each component of the scope of works, source the required information, sort the information, and then write, collate and format the content into a cohesive document.

Hughes has helped many clients including Adelaide Airport, Jobs Statewide and Starfish Developments with great success. We can positively differentiate your organisation from others bidding for work or awards, and efficiently deliver a document that strategically positions you above your competitors. Contact us to discuss your next tender or award submission.
