Student Government has launched a petition to bring Vice President Joe Biden to FIU! Joe Biden is a supporter of the Its On Us Campaign which focuses on sexual assault awareness on campus. We are competing against other Florida Universities to bring Vice President Joe Biden to our school to give a speech. If you would like to be a part of our initiative and bring Vice President Biden to FIU please sign the petition below.

The King Tide is the highest tide of the year - and in the past has seen unprecedented flooding of the South Florida coast. The Sea Level Solutions Center (SLSC) and Office of University Sustainability at Florida International University are teaming up with Eyes on the Rise to collect data on King tides and flooding in the community. Katie Rothfield Awarded Excellence in Teaching Award

We are thrilled to announce that Professor Katie Rothfield from the Department of Interior Architecture was recognized at the Faculty Convocation and Awards Ceremony with an award for Excellence in Teaching. This award follows her 2015 Educator of the Year award by the South Florida Chapter of the International Interior Design Association.

FIU to Host Journalism Day 2016

On Saturday, October 16, the annual Florida Scholastic Press Association Day (Journalism Day) will be hosted by the School of Communication + Journalism on the MMC campus. 

Journalism Day allows high school student journalists from District 6 to get hands-on journalism experience as they learn from professionals in the field as well as SCJ faculty.
