Project Update and Exciting Event News

We’re Still Here!
Things have been quiet for a few months. But the Knox Next Stage group continues to meet regularly with the Trinity Centres Foundation (TCF) team to discuss various options for the church redevelopment. More importantly, we’re still in search of an appropriate development partner to help us get to our goal – a new performing arts space for local artists and a comfortable home for the Knox congregation.
COVID has, of course, slowed everything down. At Knox, our online services have been more popular than we expected, however. We hope to share some good news later this spring when the world starts to get back to normal.
Coming Soon! Stratford Signatures Virtual Event
The Stratford Arts and Culture Collective (SACC) once again has plans to celebrate the artistic heart of our community and to put a spotlight on local artists and the many local arts and culture organizations behind them.
To this end, the SACC will premiere Stratford Signatures, an on-demand video showcase that features mostly local talent - Loreena McKennitt, Marcus Nance, Anika and Britta Johnson, Graham Abbey plus special guests Colin Mochrie and Deb McGrath. From June 19 to 27, 2021, you only have to click a link to be reminded how great it is to be in the audience once more. Incidentally, Stratford Signatures will be taped at Knox Presbyterian Church in a nod to our shared dream of a new performing arts centre in that space.
Ballinran Productions will produce Stratford Signatures, which will explore why and how Stratford produces and supports such a vast array of talented artists. The format is unique. The artists are incredible.
As all of us work toward a safe, full recovery of our highly-devastated arts and culture scene, we hope Stratford Signatures will remind everyone that Stratford is a world-class arts and culture destination with a local heart.
