Iranians celebrate the coming of spring & a New Year in March. Feasts are had, new clothes are bought and relatives are visited. Traditionally, seven items are placed on a table (Haft Sin) - each item a symbol of the New Year. To find out more about Nowruz (or Norooz) watch this VIDEO

Why is there a colour called Persian Blue? Well, Iran is blessed with a blue sky above, blue seas around and blue lapis lazuli below. Therefore, it is no surprise that blue is so prominent
