Donate to Support Mentoring

Dear <<First Name>>,

I recently received a wonderful note from a mother of a mentee about the impact mentoring has had on her daughter, which we decided to highlight in our 2016 Annual Appeal. I hope you will read the full appeal letter to see how one caring, consistent adult can help shape the life of a child. In celebration of Giving Tuesday, I hope you will consider making a donation to Mobius to help us offer this same opportunity to other young people throughout Vermont.

Mobius Announces 2016-2017 VT Mentoring Grant Recipients

This funding will support 101 new and existing program sites, and more than 1,800 adult-to-youth mentor pairs in communities across Vermont.

Mobius Wins "Way to Go!" Award
Mobius was one of 333 groups and organizations that participated in this year's Way to Go! challenge. We are excited to announce that we won first place in the Small Category!

The Way To Go Challenge encourages people to change their commuting behavior to reduce carbon emissions. Participants earned points by biking, walking, carpooling, and using public transportation instead of driving during a two-week time period earlier this fall. In total, over 11,000 people participated from over 333 groups, saving an estimated 741,266 lbs of carbon pollution! Mobius will be honored, along with the other winners, at the Way to Go! Award ceremony on December 7th at 8:00 am, at Shelburne Community School.

Check-In On the Program Leadership Council
The Mobius Program Leadership Council (PLC) met in Randolph at White River Craft Center Inc. last week where we discussed the 2016 Annual Report, the PLC's survey to mentoring programs about Mobius' services, and plans for 2017! It was also exciting to welcome new PLC members Sarah Caliendo (The DREAM Program) and Chris Hulquist (Mentor Connector) to the group.

Thank you to the PLC for your guidance as we move into the holiday season and prepare for National Mentoring Month, and a new year of working together to support more young Vermonters through mentoring.

Adams Orchard Christmas Tree Fundraiser
This holiday season, you can decorate your house and support mentoring in Vermont at the same time! Our friends from Adams Orchard have included Mobius this year as one of three non-profit beneficiaries (along with the Vermont National Guard Charitable Foundation and Vermont Respite House) from sales of holiday wreaths and Vermont Fraser and Balsam Christmas trees. Stop by their location in Williston (between 9 a.m and 5 p.m.) and pick up a tree or wreath today, and tell the staff member there that you support Mobius to help us receive part of the proceeds!
