Managing Inventory Down to Zero

Now that we’ve entered the final weeks of the Cookie Program, we wanted to share some tips for managing your troop’s cookie inventory down to zero!  First, with three weeks left in the program, we definitely hope troops can continue to sell cookies, rather than think about leftover inventory, at this point.

Let’s hope spring weather is just around the corner, which means great opportunities for booths or door-to-door sales! Other options include swapping with troops who are looking for cookies, and using donations for troop cookie donations.

Does your troop still have cookies on-hand that to sell? Make sure to communicate with troop parents about what is leftover and what that means for troop proceeds. That may motivate families to help sell any remaining inventory, so that the girls receive the full benefits of the proceeds they’ve worked for!
We still have booth sale time slots available through the First Come, First Serve process in Smart Cookies!
Troops can also continue to set-up booth sales – we encourage you to get creative about locations! With the program extension, the last day for booth sales is Sunday, March 24.

Entering Rewards Orders in Smart Cookies

After you’ve completed all your Troop to Girl Transfers, be sure to create your Reward Order in Smart Cookies! Reward Orders are due at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, March 31.

For more information on how to complete your Reward Order, check out the Troop Proceeds and Rewards – Smart Cookies Guide!

Gluten Free Patches!
We'll have an option to request additional Gluten Free patches outside of Smart Cookies, based on the requirement of selling 6 packages of the Caramel Chocolate Chips. We appreciate troops figuring out how to get these cookies to hungry customers using the online ordering option, so we'll figure out how to get those girls the patch!

Direct-to-Girl Rewards Shipping! We're excited about our new direct-to-girl shipping for the rewards items, but we know there are some cases where it may be better for a girl’s rewards to be shipped to her troop leader instead. We’ll send out details soon so you can let us know of any special circumstances for shipping.

League of Legendary Creatures

We are so excited to see girls across the council earning their instant rewards – their lanyard, and rainbow, yeti, mermaid, dragon, and unicorn backpack clips! Help motivate the girls in your troop by letting them know how close they are to each reward level – and don’t forget to recognize the girls for their progress at each meeting!

Special Membership Offer!

It's almost Girl Scout Week! This week, celebrated March 10-16 this year, always happens the week of March 12 (the birthday or Girl Scouts). We're running a special promotion for Girl Scout Week, where girls and adults who would like to volunteer can sign up for a FREE 2018-2019 membership! See our website for more information.

If you'd like to share our message with girls and adults you know who may not have registered yet this year, or have a girl (or several!) in mind who might want to join, we have several ways you can spread the word:

  • Flyers at Super Cupboards: There will be flyers advertising this promotion available at Super Cupboards March 8! Feel free to ask for some if you drop by to pick up cookies at one of these locations.
  • Downloadable Flyers: If you won't be visiting a cupboard, you can also download a flyer to print here!
  • Facebook Graphic: Want to spread the word on social media? Keep an eye on our Facebook page on Sunday, March 10 for a sharable announcement graphic!
