12/6: Winterfest at Wunder Garten

Wunder Garten has been working hard to make it's third Winterfest the biggest and best holiday celebration yet, and starting Friday, you can experience it all: the Giving Tree Christmas tree lot, proceeds from which will benefit Pathways to Housing DC; the makers market; the popup Little Stable dining experience; the Polar Tunnel, an immersive art installation; and much more. There will also be special performances and events — including the popular Night of 1,000 Santas Dance Party — across Winterfest's three weekends, so be sure to check the website for schedules and updates. Or follow Wunder Garten on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook to keep up with everything that's going on.

12/6: All Crafts Considered at NPR

After a two-year hiatus, All Crafts Considered is back at NPR's HQ lobby (1111 North Capitol St. NE), and the public is invited in to enjoy an afternoon of shopping and holiday cheer. Stop by between 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. to find unique gifts and homemade goods by artisans and makers from around the DMV.

12/7–8: Holiday Card Workshop
at the Postal Museum

Looking for a great outing for the whole family? Check out the National Postal Museum's Holiday Card Workshop, running 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. both days this weekend. The museum provides a bountiful spread of papers, rubber stamps, embellishments, special cut-out scissors, washi tape, stickers, markers, and more to help kids (and adults) create unique greeting cards.

12/11: Fashion Show & Fundraiser

The NoMa BID recently had a fashion makeover, and we're showing it off to benefit the Father McKenna Center. Head to Wunder Garten next Wednesday, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., to see NoMa Ambassadors — our team that's out in the neighborhood every day of the week — in their new, colorful uniforms and to learn more about the McKenna Center, which has been assisting homeless men with programming and a food pantry for more than two decades. The first 100 attendees get a free round on us, and a portion of sales for select beers will go to the Center.

12/10: Santa's Workshop in Spire

Did you know that Santa's elves are at the Spire event space this year? Stop by 750 First St. NE next Tuesday evening to enjoy live swing dancing instruction, learn how to make a special holiday cocktail, and more. There is no entry fee, but Toys for Tots donations are encouraged.

12/17: Winter Wonder in NoMa

Celebrate the season in NoMa on the morning of December 17 by enjoying free hot chocolate and holiday cookies, cozy swag, and an opportunity to donate toys and craft materials/tools to our event partner, the Perry School Community Services Center. You'll find us at the CNN plaza on First St. NE and by the NoMa-Gallaudet U Metro station between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Can't make it? You can also donate to the Perry School via the organization's Amazon wishlist at
