What's Going on Around NoMa?

A few months ago we put the NoMa Neighborhood Guide online, making it easier for residents, workers, and visitors to discover the area's numerous amenities. Now we've launched the NoMa Community Events Calendar to provide area businesses, community groups, and anyone else offering a public event or special promotion a central online place to announce it. At the top of the page is a link to submit an event; we'll let you know when it's approved or ask for further information. Thanks for all you do to make NoMa a fun and interesting community!

CherryFest at Wunder Garten

Spring is just around the corner, and in D.C. that means celebrating the blooming cherry blossoms. Fully getting in the spirit of things, Wunder Garten is putting together Cherryfest, a weeklong event in which it will partner with Kirin Ichiban USA to transform the beer garden into a cherry blossom–themed popup. If you can't make it to the Tidal Basin, then stop by 1101 First St. NE for a drink, art classes, and dancing from Saturday, March 23 through Saturday, April 6.

Summer Screen 2019 Lineup

Thanks to the more than 1,100 of you who voted in our online poll! The fun kicks off on June 5 with The Karate Kid. Watch for more news about Summer Screen in the coming weeks.

Nibble and Sip at 100K With Yelp DC

On Saturday, March 27, the Yelp DC community will gather at 100K Apartments to celebrate spring. This event will feature more than 30 food and beverage businesses from around the District — including NoMa's own Lily and the CactusRed Bear Brewing, Sweet Science Coffee, and Wunder Garten. Admission is free, with a suggested $10 donation to Yelp DC's charity partner: Me & You, a nonprofit that offers goods and services to homeless students in the DMV. Learn more about the participating businesses and reserve your spot by clicking here.

WHY DOES D.C. HAVE SO MANY CHERRY BLOSSOM TREES?
