Thank You & Happy Holidays!

It's hard to believe 2017 is almost over. We're very pleased to say that it's closing on a high note.

WINTERFEST: More than 20,000 people visited the NoMa BID-sponsored Winterfest holiday market, an incredibly successful premiere. Thank you to Wunder Garten for being a wonderful event host; to People Make Place for vendor logistics and more; to Hernan Gigena Art for the beautiful art tree installation (and to Advantage Financial Federal Credit Union for sponsoring it); to all of the participating vendors, food purveyors, and event partners; and to the thousands of people — and pets! — who celebrated the season with us.

PAJAMA DRIVE: The NoMa BID asked you to contribute new PJs to the D.C. Holiday Pajama Drive, and you came through! On Monday the MPD First District, which coordinated this donation effort, picked up almost 500 pairs of new pajamas from our office to give to children in the District's protective-care system. Thank you to our drive partners, Advantage Financial and AVA NoMa; to the Gay Men's Chorus of Washington D.C. for caroling so sweetly (and to Peet's Coffee for the hot chocolate); and to all of you who contributed.

We wish everyone a wonderful holiday season and safe travels, wherever you may be spending time with family and friends. Here's looking forward to a great 2018!

Before we completely sign off for the winter break, though, there are just a couple more pieces of news we thought you should know, so read on ...
