Dear Lillstreet students,

Due to the stay-at-home-order extension through May 30, Lillstreet Art Center will transition to online classes this spring.

Many of our spring classes have been cancelled as a result of this change. If you are registered for a class that has been cancelled, we will contact you individually throughout the upcoming week to go over your studio credit options. All students in cancelled classes will have the opportunity to pre-register for summer classes before enrollment opens to the public. Please note that studio credits never expire and can be used at any time. We appreciate your patience as we begin reaching out to students as quickly as possible. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your continued support during this time.
Our creative team has worked hard to develop a variety of new online classes and workshops in each department. Registration is open now! Tailored to a remote learning environment on Zoom, our online classes include instructor demonstrations, group feedback sessions, collaborative projects, and one-on-one guidance through digital office hours.

While we’re sad we can’t see you face to face as soon as we’d hoped, we’re incredibly excited to embark on this new chapter. Online classes will help us stay connected and keep our community safe and strong during these uncertain times. We hope to use this opportunity to expand our audience beyond our city, and provide a different level of access to people with disabilities or those who may be homebound for various reasons. Let’s continue learning, together. We can’t wait to digitally see you soon!

Next Thursday, May 7 at 2PM, Kidstreet instructor Mikey Anderson will lead a 1-hour Recycled Fabric Plushie Demo (perfect for kids, but hey—who wouldn’t want to make a huggable new friend?) More info to come soon!
