Letter from the President
As many of you know, a legal decision that removed certain key diagnostic elements within the chiropractic scope of practice was recently made in Texas. This decision is under appeal and no action will take place until the appeal process has been completed. We have every reason to believe this short-sighted decision will be overturned upon rehearing. In addition...

Our OTA Program is Now ACOTE Accredited
On Friday, August 12, we received notification that Parker University was granted accreditation for our Occupational Assistant Therapy (OTA) Program by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE). This is a tremendous accomplishment and will provide students with the assurance that our OTA program meets the rigorous standards of accreditation. Our program is currently the only ACOTE accredited OTA program in Dallas.

Special thanks to our Parker Power Couples: Dr. Gene & Kathy Giggleman, Drs. Tim & Caley Nawrocki, Dr. Camille & Don Reagan, and Dr. Terry Garcia & Dr. Mark Scott, who participated in a lively panel discussion about working together as a couple in the Chiropractic field. The panel provided insight on how they manage to make their personal and professional relationships thrive while working together every day. This spurred a flurry of questions from our Parker students and provided them with helpful tools that will prepare them for their practice with their significant other. It was definitely an evening of engaging conversation and tons of laughter.

We would like to share our gratitude for David Bynum, DC ’15 & Caley Nawrocki, DC '07 who have volunteered to host After Hours events in the coming tri. Both of these alumni will be opening their practices to a group of Parker students and enabling them to engage with a working practice early in their education. After Hours events are an incredibly important service to Parker students and we deeply appreciate the work of our alumni who make this happen!
