Harnessing the positive power of wilderness to change lives and the positive power of humanity to save wilderness
It's been a busy first quarter of 2017 at the Wilderness Foundation!
TurnAround groups head for the Highlands

The first of two groups heading to Scotland this month as part of the TurnAround Project left for the Angus and Douglas Estate south of Glasgow on 1st April 2017.  They were followed on 8th April by our group from Berkshire.  TurnAround transforms young lives using the healing power of nature.

Please help us to help both Nature and People through our 2017 appeal

Students will train to be mentors and participate in wilderness trails over the next twelve months.

‘I had the most amazing time and it really was wonderful to work with such a great group of young people and leaders.

It was lovely to be with all of you guys in such a beautiful landscape!’

Dominic Stevens - UEL Student
'We are delighted to be able to support… projects that will build external partnerships, and offer our students the chance to develop their skills and understanding in a real world context.'

Gail May, UEL’s interim Director of Civic Engagement
TurnAround recognised by High Sheriff of Essex for community safety contribution

Voluntary organisations and people who make a major contribution to their local communities and crime prevention have been given well deserved recognition and thanks at this year’s prestigious High Sheriffs’ Awards ceremony

We are delighted to announce that we will be offering school holiday activity camps through 2017
These all new activity camps take place at our award winning conservation site and combine nature learning with hands-on adventuring!
Do you want to work with children and nature? We are recruiting volunteer youth leaders
We are looking for volunteer Youth Leaders to assist with groups of 8-15 children aged 5-10 years who will help with the delivery of our activity camps taking place during the school holidays.
We are honored to be hosting the Essex LOTC Providers conference at our Award Winning Chatham Green Project site in September.

ELOTC Providers play a vital role in supplying quality educational opportunities for children across Essex, and we are proud to be members.
Members of the public can visit us at Chatham Green much sooner, when we throw open the field gates for Open Farm Sunday in association with LEAF
