Developing Finnish Science, Technology and Innovation Cooperation between Europe, Africa and the LAC region 
 

The FinCEAL Researcher's Infobank has been launched! Are you a Finnish researcher carrying out your research on/in Africa or Latin America and the Caribbean? Register your project on the FinCEAL Infobank - a multidisciplinary database that supports exchange of knowledge, acts as a contact point showcasing Finnish expertise and to get up to date information on funding calls. Join the FinCEAL Infobank!

FinCEAL Travel Grants
The first Open Call for the FinCEAL Travel Grants was published in September 2013 and closed on October 4th. We are happy to announce the results of the first Call. In total we received 46 applications, 24 for Africa and 22 for Latin America and the Caribbean. 13 applicants for Africa were awarded the grants and 10 of applicants for LAC.  FinCEAL would like to thank all applicants! Exciting Upcoming FinCEAL News


  • FinCEAL Project Preparatory Funding  will be launched December 9th during the FinCEAL Workshop – the Call will be published on FinCEAL website in December!
     
  • FinCEAL Africa Side-Event in Brussels - Stakeholder Workshop: Engaging SME’s in EU-Africa Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Research Partnerships is planned for March, 2014. More information on this will be made available early next year.
     
  • The first calls under Horizon 2020 will be released on Wednesday, December 11th, 2013.
    EU Research and Innovation Programmes (EUTI), based in Tekes, communicates EU funding opportunities and EU policy issues to all Finnish stakeholders in companies, universities, research institutes, governmental agencies and municipalities. http://www.tekes.eu/en/basics/

ALCUE NET – Latin America, Caribbean and European Union Network on Research and Innovation ALCUE NET supports the CELAC-UE S&T Policy Dialogue process & the Joint Initiative for Research and Innovation (CELAC-UE JIRI) implementation during 2013-2017, aiming to establish a common platform for EU-LAC policy makers, research institutions and the private sector.
