We would like to apologize for this silence but year 2019 has been very busy. This has unfortunately prevented us from communicating through newsletter at a proper frequency. This does not mean at all that we have stayed idle!
Among other changes AETA had to change facility, which is never a trivial event in the life of a company. Indeed the city of Le Plessis Robinson has encouraged AETA to look for a new place to operate. We just moved 2km away to a building called La Boursidière:
So, since September our new address is : Centre d’Affaires la Boursidière Rue de la Boursidière BP 82 F- 92357 Le Plessis-Robinson Cedex
We had desired for this change to happen during the summer period in order to minimize its impact to the support we usually give to our customers and partners. We hope that you have not suffered much inconvenience.
Beside traditional exhibitions to Salon de la radio and IBC, 2019 has also been the year where AETA was present to Mediatech Johannesburg on the booth of its local partner: SoundFusion. AETA products have actually helped there covering the election of president Cyril Ramaphosaen.
On top AETA was present with its at the rugby world cup.
AETA has released a few month ago its codecs supervision portal allowing to have global visibility on your pool of AETA codecs embedding «remote access» option.
With a double click you will then access the HTML set-up page of the spotted unit wherever it is.
To link this with the upcoming holiday season AETA is happy to offer 30% discount on option for each new or already produced product. This offer is valid until 31/12/2019.
4G by USB option
Finally we wanted to inform you that « 4G by USB » option is now standard in each AETA product. Of course, if necessary, you can still purchase from us the mobile USB dongle.
2019 is the year of the below product launches
ScoopTeam premium + based on but capable of integrating a new 8 channels Ravenna module also offering redundancy of Ravenna network.
application, turning your smartphone into a portable codec for broadcasters able to make easy OPUS calls. Among others you will see as special features on this application:
For the moment it is only downloadable from Apple Store but will very soon also be available on Google Play Store. To make it work you simply need a dedicated SIP account on AETA SIP server.
AETA now features and is able to offer its to architectures.
Internal mobile module
From mid-December onward, AETA units will embed a new internal mobile module. This module will be universal enabling AETA units to work anywhere in the world without USB dongle from a local operator.
Beside this, more and more people are talking about 5G. We are fully aware of this and we are working on it. Not only enabling potential 5G USB dongles to work on our devices (which is already the case) but to guarantee you that, when it will be time, we will offer upgrades of your units for them to migrate from the 3G/4G module they have to a 5G one.
Registration on 2 SIP servers
AETA products are now able to register simultaneously on 2 different SIP servers allowing, for example, AETA products to receive calls coming from different SIP servers.
We have decided to remove POTS option from our offer. This option is not really requested by the market anymore.
In order to enhance simplicity on AETA products, we have removed old Algorithms CELP, TDAC, and MICDA 4SB as standard from our units because we are convinced that with migration to IP OPUS will become (if not already is) the reference algorithm. For customers still fond of MICDA 4SB in particular, the old algorithms will still be available as option.
AETA has set up a proxy on its SIP server which is something that could be useful for customers in Western Europe.
Multiscoop now features 4 GPI and 4GPO
All year long , we have uploaded on our website firmware updates offering, among other, the below new functionalities:
SIP profiles, allowing to ease switch from a SIP server to another
We have taken time to implement SNMP on our products
You can now pick up and release a call using GPI
In the coming weeks, AETA will have finalised
A nice firmware update on all its products providing innovative solutions to have audio links always more secure
