Welcome to 2022!

We’ve had a bit of a bumpy ride as we welcome the new year. The Omicron variant is quickly making its way through the South Australian community and people are finding it pretty unnerving. Someone wrote to me to say they were finding it hard to live out Paul’s admonition to ‘give thanks in all circumstances’ (1 Thes 5:18). I concurred.

Yet…I also find myself humming Auld Lang Syne and remembering the bright moments of this past year (yes - even in another Covid year there were plenty of bright moments). Paul was talking about giving thanks to God in all circumstances, not about all circumstances.

May the New Year bring you many bright moments.

BPUC Notices
The 2022 Brougham Place AGM is set for Sunday, 27 February. If you are responsible for a BPUC key area (Groups and Committees) please organise a report describing your group’s activities over the past year. This year we especially encourage you to include interesting stories, insights, reflections, historical information and photos from 2021. Please have the reports to the office by Tuesday, 1 February.

Nominations for Church Council are also now open. All nominations must be made by 11 February 2022.
