It is now time for our chapter to begin the elections and slating process. A slate will be presented to the board at the February board meeting by our Nominating Committee: Lauren Pointer (chair), Trish Wenger, and Karie Keown-Kirchner.  A full chapter vote will follow, and officers will be installed at our Founders Day celebration held March 25.

The following positions are currently being slated:
vp: membership
vp: finance
vp: Foundation

Please contact if you are interested and include a brief resume or list of Delta Gamma roles you have held or activities in which you have participated along with a short statement of interest. Please note that women elected to the above positions must have graduated at least 2 years ago. I am also happy to answer any questions about the positions.

In addition, we are seeking to appoint some directors/chairs. Currently, ways and means and book club chair are open for appointment immediately. Directors and chairs can be women who recently graduated- we'd love to have you get involved!

Finally, the board is seeking volunteers to serve on the Tables that Bloom committee. This committee will be tasked with planning our inaugural, signature gala to be held August 20th 6-9pm. We are seeking women who are experienced in event planning, securing sponsorships, and securing auction items, or those who have some time available to help with a few tasks. No contribution to this event is too small! Please contact if you are interested or would like more information.

Jordan Crawford
Atlanta alumnae president

We hope you will join us on Saturday, December 10 from 1- 3 pm for our annual holiday party!

The event will be held at Drena Hollingsworth’s home located at 3341 Littleport Lane NW in Acworth.

Please bring your favorite holiday dessert to participate in our dessert swap. Savory food and drinks will be provided.

You can RSVP to this event in the link below or email

We are also excited to #dogood with the Mary Hall Freedom House (MHFH) this holiday season by providing gift donations to women and children in need. MHFH is the Atlanta Alumnae Panhellenic Association's philanthropy. If you are interested in helping us out by purchasing one of the gifts on their wish lists and are attending the Holiday Party, please answer the question within the RSVP form. If you cannot attend the party but would still like to donate, please send an email to Is anyone an author or know an author? Or perhaps an avid knitter? We are looking to get 9 gifts (hats, scarves, or inspirational books) donated for the women of the Mary Hall Freedom House.

We are excited to include formal and informal rituals for our chapter in the spirit of these year's Live our Ritual theme.
  • We will have an informal ritual at our Holiday Party on the story of our Christmas break founding.
  • Have an engagement or pregnancy announcement you would like to share with your Atlanta Delta Gamma sisters?  Email our director of rituals, Emily Dowdell, at your information and she will plan a virtual Candle Pass for you on our Facebook Group or an in-person one at an upcoming private DG event you plan to be at.
  • Even our social media posts are informal rituals and we hope you have been enjoying our #MemberMentionMonday, #TBT, #FactFriday and #SponsorStorySaturday posts.
  • Be sure to save the date for our most formal ritual as alumnae - Founders Day Brunch Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 10:30 am at the Evergreen Marriott Conference Resort at Stone Mountain with Delta Iota (UGA) and the Athens alumnae association!  Featuring speaker Council Trustee: Collegians, Aleesa Ross!

We are currently raising funds to pay for the Red & White Ball. The Ball benefits middle and high school youth in the Center for the Visually Impaired's STARS program. This fairytale prom is complete with decorations, gifts, snacks, a live DJ and crowning of King & Queen of the Ball and is entirely run and funding by our Atlanta Delta Gamma alumnae chapter.

Our chapter also donates funds to CVI, Delta Gamma collegiate scholarships, Delta Iota's and Eta Chi's anchor games, the Delta Gamma Foundation and Panhellenic Sisters for Scholars.

We can't "do good" without the help from each of you!  Click on the link below to donate to any or all of these causes.

Thank you to all who participated as a vendor or shopper in our inaugural Holiday Pop Up Market where we #ShoppedLocal #ShoppedDeltaGamma and #ShoppedForACause in November!

Over $300 was raised for the Delta Gamma Foundation from this event and our vendors made some sales and introduced their products and services to our chapter members and their families and friends.

Be sure to check out to see all the Atlanta Delta Gamma Businesses that participated and continue to support them during the holiday season and beyond!
Do you have Box Tops that you are wondering what to do with?

Our chapter donates Box Tops to Georgia Academy for the Blind located in Macon. Bring your Box Tops to any event, please include your name and number of box tops with them. If you would like to mail them in, please email Kristina at for details.
Help us report volunteer service hours to Executive Offices.

Record your service hours here.

Thank you for doing good!
It's time for our annual Red & White Ball for the Center for the Visually Impaired's STARS program! This is a Prom for the middle & high school age kids at CVI, complete with a crowning of King & Queen of the Ball. Delta Gamma provides the funding and support of this great philanthropic event. With your generosity, we are able to pay for the event space, food, DJ, decorations and auction items. We are calling on you once again to help make this a memorable event for the kids. Please remember that many of these students may not be invited to, or can afford, to attend their schools' proms or dances, so we want to make this night special!

The Ball will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at All Saints' Episcopal Church in Midtown Atlanta.

You can help us in the following ways:

1. VOLUNTEER: We need volunteers on the day of the event to decorate, clean up, check-in, serve food, take pictures and dance with the kids. Feel free to invite your spouse, children (ages 12+) and friends to help out with this fun event! The volunteer time slots are: 9:30 am-12:00 pm (Decorate); 5:30-7:30 pm (Set up); 7:00-9:30 pm (Clean up)

To those who want to volunteer, please select a time slot and number of volunteers here.

2. MONETARY DONATIONS: If you would like to send monetary donations, you can do so via credit card online via the link here. If you would prefer to write a check, you can make checks payable to "Delta Gamma," and contact Kristina Forbes at for mailing information. This event- including the DJ, food, and decorations- is paid for exclusively by your donations, so please think of us while you plan for your New Year giving!

Please remember that this is an event solely funded & run by the Delta Gamma Atlanta Alumnae chapter. So it's up to us to make this a special night for the CVI kids. If you can help out in any way, we would be appreciative.

Thank you for your support!

Kristina Forbes
