Big Changes at Call Andy!
It's been too long since I've sent a client alert, and there's lots of news that's way overdue!
First of all, by now many of you know that Brendon left Call Andy! at the end of October. Brendon was offered a terrific position doing high-end digital strategies for a client of ours, and although his leaving was bittersweet for me, it was a great opportunity for him and I wish him all the best! Brendon really helped me move Call Andy! from a solo practice into a larger organization and I really appreciate all he did for me, our clients and my company.
Since then, I've brought two great engineers into Call Andy!, Rob Holz, and Max Buxton.
Rob Holz - Systems Engineer
Rob comes to Call Andy! after having spending four years as an Apple Genius at the Apple Stores in Chestnut Hill and South Shore."It changed my life. It allowed me to build a career that I am passionate about." While working for Apple, Rob received numerous performance awards and was selected to attend weekly conference calls with the iPod development team to help improve Apple's #1 selling music player. Having studied film production at Emerson College, Rob has an extensive background in Pro Audio and Video workflows.
Max Buxton - Systems Engineer
Max has been a full time Macintosh consultant for over fifteen years. Before working as a consultant, Max honed his troubleshooting skills working as a software tester and application engineer for computer software development companies. Upon realizing he enjoyed working with end users as much as the technology, he transitioned to system administration, supporting groups of users and refining his "consulting" chops.
In the late 1990's, Max decided to become an independent consultant and concentrate on what he enjoys most: helping Macintosh users get the most out of their systems. He's been a certified member of the Apple Consultants Network since 2003 as well as a colleague and friend of Andy for much of that time, and has finally been persuaded to join the Call Andy! team.
Max is excited to apply his experience in systems, networking, training and general good humor to the Call Andy! brand.
Andy to Co-Chair MacTech Bootcamp Boston 2011 Sessions
Neil Ticktin, the Founder and Editor of MacTech Magazine has asked me to co-chair the sessions for MacTech Bootcamp alongside Leon Lincoln from the Broad Institute. The MacTech Bootcamp is an exciting one-day conference targeting technical consulting professionals. Having already had great success in LA, we are excited to see this great event come to Boston!
As always, please remember if you have a question you can always… Call Andy! (and now Rob and Max, of course!)
More coming soon!
