On Tuesday afternoon Apple released the latest version of their operating system for Macintosh computers. Dubbed “Mavericks
”, OS X 10.9
is touted as having over 200 new features. Apple is truly breaking new ground with this release, offering the operating system for free through the online App Store. Here at Call Andy! headquarters, we've already installed Mavericks on various systems for testing and we're closely watching the web for reactions and impressions.
In the meantime, as always, we're recommending that you take a more conservative approach
. The shear number of new features and changes presented by OS X Mavericks ensures that there are going to be many ramifications to upgrading.
We recommend that all clients refrain from upgrading to OS X Mavericks at this time.
We’ll be following this alert in a few weeks with an update of our recommendations. Until then, sit back, be patient, and consider some of Apple’s additional announcements…
