France-IX among the first european IXPs to launch a 400G offer
We have recently unveiled a new 400G Ethernet access offer aiming to address growing Internet access needs from customers. The 400G platform will initially be available on the Telehouse 2 connectivity hub (Paris), and later extended to other points of presence by the end of the year.
NetSyst, first member to benefit from our new remote peering offer
NetSyst is a Lyon-based IT engineering services company created in 2011 offering turnkey solutions for the integration and outsourcing of specialised and atypical infrastructure on dedicated servers and clouds for very small businesses.
Offered since only a few weeks, the "remote peering" service allows France-IX members connected to one city to access the peering LAN of another city through dedicated capacity on their home port. NetSyst chose this service in order to access its crucial Paris peers more directly. Thanks to the remote peering, access to France-IX Paris is seen as more direct by the BGP algorithm, with no intermediate hop. In this way, while being connected to Lyon, NetSyst is seen as a full member of the Paris peering LAN.

We propose you some thoughts on the topic, developedjointly by our Network Engineer Pierre-Malo Bovet and Marketing & Communication Manager Akéla Bendjeddou, now available in our blog:
