Wow, it's September and it's back to school time again. We've been working hard all summer and just released a major update to the enTourage eDGe. This new release is bound to help you with your schoolwork or your job. With our new Dingo release we've upgraded our Office Document support to Documents to Go 3.0® which allows you to sync your office files between your computer and the enTourage eDGe. A major request was for the ability to do presentations from the device, so we added a Projector App that uses a USB-Video adapter that can connect to a monitor or LCD projector. We also added a new Calendar app that allows you to write down your appointments in the same way you would in your appointment book. We also updated the user interface to make everything easier to learn and more responsive.

WRITE Docs to Go 3.0

With the new Documents to Go 3.0® you can edit your Office documents on the enTourage eDGe and have them sync back to your computer when you get home. To get started, select the Desktop menu item in Documents to Go and send an email with the link to the computer software to your computer via email. Then install the software on your computer and attach the enTourage eDGe via the mini USB and configure. Once configured, you can sync by connecting the mini USB to your computer. You can use the sync function for all kinds of files, not just Office, so set up the directory structure you wish and move files around easily.

SURF Read Web Pages on your Reader

With our new Dingo software you can now easily move a web page over to the Reader display. Once on the Reader, you can save to the library and have all of the functions of a book like annotations, highlights and attachments. To do this, browse to a web page and select the book icon in the upper right corner of the Browser. You will be presented two options, one to open as an EPUB, the other as a PDF image. The EPUB selection works well for long text passages and will present the page like a book. The PDF option is better for image-rich web pages. Once saved in the library, these files can be attached to another document.

eDGeApp Review: Dropbox and Flight Frenzy

Add content onto your enTourage eDGe from any laptop, smartphone, or device by using Dropbox! A free Dropbox account gives you at least 2 gigabytes of storage and enables you to sync documents, music, videos, and more between computers and devices. For example, to view and edit a PowerPoint presentation saved on your laptop while reading a textbook on the enTourage eDGe e-reader is easy. Just place the presentation in your Dropbox folder to view, edit, and save on your enTourage eDGe's tablet screen and the changes will save instantly on all of your devices. Dropbox supports Windows, Linux, Mac, or any other OS since it runs on the cloud. You can also share your Dropbox with other users making it an excellent tool for collaborating on files.

Need some down time? Big Fun and Game's Flight Frenzy app, one of the most popular Android games according to EuroDroid, puts you in charge of safely landing multiple aircrafts as a virtual air traffic controller. The enTourage eDGe's larger 10.1" LCD provides a uniquely fun gaming experience for Flight Frenzy and all Android games. Dropbox and Flight Frenzy are available at the enTourage eDGe App Store, which allows you to download free, useful and fun applications on your enTourage eDGe.
